Wrong I paid for this card at the time, and it played Crysis max settings back then without issue for me! how ever Nvidia announced they were not going to support going to DX9 or DX10 I forget any ways it was a real screw ball to every one that dumped their money into these cards including me! their price dropped from $1,200 to $500 to $200 & $300 in little over a Month!! Needles to say it's the last Nvidia Card I have Owned.. I still love this card but I just don't like the CEO he is to greedy and don't give a two sweeps about his Customers actually he looks down on them

Outside of their bad thermals. and the dumb proprietary parts, I think Alienware's are pretty good. Like sure they're bad on their prices, but I love the over the top designs of their cases.

Sorry just realized how old this is. Im thinking of trying one of those $30 electric chillers from ebay and either fan or a Cooper coil inside a chest with maybe some ice packs for longevity.

Im not reading all the comments on the but the computer needs to be higher than your reservoir /cooler. I been brain storming cooling solutions myself. Why didn't to just make some vent and blow air from ac directly into pc with a air cooler instead of aoc?

Idk if you will ever read this but i have a 7900 xt and my son has a 7800 xt what i have noticed is if you find your lowest voltage and highest core clock so lets say you set it to 3000 but when your 100% gpu is only going to 2750 if you go back and set the core clock to lets say 2725 you will still get the 2750 ish but what you will see is you hotspot drop like 10-20 C idk why this happens but for my 7900 xt set at 3000cc 1040 volt and 2800 mem in cyber punk in one scene ill get like 108 fps but 85c hotspot if i keep same setting but change core clock to 2850 i get 107 fps but my hotspot is 60 65 C so idk what it changes when you set it above what it can rly do but NO one seems to care cuz well that card can run up to 110c on the Hot spot but why would you want to Burn your card so hot when it can run much cooler!

I think this was the video card in the Beefy Computer in CS Office. When I eventually get enough to build a retro pc for XP games, I want to base it on the Beefy Computer so this is on my list!

I have this exact build only that my mobo is an m5 z170 so I used a different bios on that non k files list but my question is when I oc on bios it shows my speed for example says 4.2ghz compared to 3.4ghz base when I load into windows on task manager it’s locked at 3.4ghz but on CPUz it shows average 4200mhz which is correct and is this expected to see when oc?

I came here because I have an Uphere AIO Liquid Cooler on my i5-7600 that's done a good job for 7 years. I did a dust removal on my case yesterday and had some cooling issues that have seemed to resolve themselves. I wasn't having any cooling issues before the dust removal. The CPU Ran up to 206* a couple of times. I shut it down and double checked all the connections. Restarted, and it ran kind of warm for an hour or so in the 150-160* F range. Today it's running around 105-110*F. The only thing I can think of that might have caused the problem is that I tipped the case on to a 45* angle for a few moments while I was vacuuming the back of the case, I might have introduced an air bubble and caused some cavitation issues in the pump. I've been thinking about pulling the cooler off and reapplying the thermal paste, but rationalize, why bother it if it's cooling good. I think I'll buy another cooler to have on hand for when it's needed. To bad Uphere seems to have stopped making this particular unit. Thanks for sharing the refurbish info on the Corsair.

fyi, the 5800 and 5900 nvidia cards did not trade blows with the 9800 pro. those cards straight up didn't have certain features required for some games(and were paying people not to test them) and would use 'optomized codepaths' in other hotter benchmark titles. In short they were cheating by turning down the settings by redirecting when executables were detected. The fx 5000 series were just that fucking bad.

i live in Brazil, and i bought a rtx 2080 ti like the one on the video, with the blower cooler, on alliexpress for like 300 dollars, and normally in Brazil they sell for like 500 dollars, and is serving me very well, especially after i repasted it with a much better thermal paste

Dell is literally the reason reference blowers existed for so long, which makes it more hilarious theyd stuff their choking pieces of shit with triple fans and dual fans. You literally need a blower cooler in order to cool any Dell case.
